D-Link says that this setup is perfect for streaming audio and video via wireless technology.
SlideshowIf your home office is a mess, you should take a peek under that desk. It’s a virtual (and digital) land mine. Instead of adding more wires and gadgets to the problem, D-Link’s DUB-9240 allows you to add devices to your network via a separate USB hub.
OK—so you will have to add this unit into your mess, but once that’s connected, you can just plug USB devices into the D-Link hub. No more plugging and unplugging junk under your desk or adding and switching stuff hooked into your hard drive.
The Starter Kit comes with the adapter and a 4-port wireless USB hub. The company boasts a simple setup, and Gizmos for Geeks says you can access it from a good 30 feet.
Designed for everything from printers to game controllers (fun!), the $168 DUB-9240 uses the wireless frequency range of 3.1GHz to 4.8GHz, which means it shouldn’t interfere with your web access, phone reception, or other wireless appliances.
