D-Link must be targeting serious phone freaks with their new V-Click phone. Otherwise, at $600, if you want to call home about this new GSM/Wi-Fi combo phone, I suggest you just deal with the possible drops of your current model.
If you’re a downloading freak when it comes to your phone, it might be worth taking a peek. D-Link does promise faster transfer speeds. One good thing: The V-Click will be set up as a pay-as-you-go device, so you don’t have to worry about mortgaging your house on downloading games or IMing your mom.
Don’t get me wrong: I am all for a phone that flips back and forth between two networks. But until they announce who the carrier will be and we find out what kind of specials they will have and how many years of my allegiance I’ll have to sign away, my piggybank stays intact.
