Sometimes reading instruction manuals just isn’t enough when you’re trying to understand a new product. D-Link, which markets its networking solutions to both consumers and businesses, has added a portal to its Web site that gives users streaming video for more information on its products and solutions.
The company announced this week the debut of D-LinkTV, a knowledge-based Internet video portal designed to better educate and entertain consumers, business customers and resellers on advancements in networking and connectivity solutions.
Video segments run from about three to 10 minutes.
D-LinkTV is accessible from either www.dlink.com or www.dlinktv.com, and is segmented into four subjects: home and home office, business solutions, reseller and partner solutions and other/miscellaneous. The company says new content will be added each week and expanded to include a variety of networking topics and products, such as one this week geared toward homeowners on the DGL-4300 Wireless 108G Gaming Router.
For consumers, other topics include home networking, moving media throughout the home, printer sharing, Webcams, online security and gaming. Business segments also include videos that cover such items as voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) and Wi-Fi that may be of interest to consumers. Other segments include news and product roundups from the recent Consumer Electronics Show.
