Back in April, D-Link announced plans to get into the streaming set-top space with the MovieNite Streaming Media Player. Now, they are fast-tracking an upgrade, the MovieNite Plus.

The MovieNite Plus (DSM-312) is the latest box, offering up to 1080p video quality (when available). However, the big hook on this box is that it has access to over 130 channels and apps. Some of the most popular options include VUDU, Netflix, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Picasa, and much more. The box also supports mydlink-enabled Cloud Cameras. D-Link says that Hulu Plus should be coming soon.

“Whether you are looking to stream the latest flicks from VUDU, catch up on your favorite TV shows available on Netflix, or just want to listen to some music from Pandora, our new MovieNite Plus offers a simple to use solution that delivers the biggest names in entertainment straight to your TV,” said Ken Loyd, D-Link’s director of consumer products. “D-Link continues to deliver user-friendly entertainment solutions offering an unlimited amount of content at the best HD resolution for a great value.”

The MovieNite Plus box boasts a three-step setup, with the option for wireless and Ethernet connectivity. Other features include an HDMI output, a composite audio/video connection, and one-button navigation from the included remote.

D-Link is taking pre-orders for the MovieNite Plus now, with plans to ship in July. The MovieNite Plus has an MSRP of $79.99.
