Crestron can sure make some pretty touchpanels. The latest is the Crestron Isys TPMC-9L, a wall-mount touchpanel featuring a 9-inch widescreen that’s capable of playing both 16-bit color graphics and 24-bit video.
So when you’re not controlling everything in and around the house, there will be plenty of pretty images to look at, such as cover art and apps, as well as a personalized graphical interface that you can call your own.
Powered by Crestron’s Core 3 OS, this touchpanel allows you to whip through everything from movie libraries and TV stations to Adobe Flash and IP intercom. There’s also options for animated clocks, calendars, weather widgets, and news feeds, as well as streaming video for a peek at connected web cams.
Despite all of the goodies, the TPMC-9L is also pretty easy to control. A simple finger swipe can guide users through theater controls, lighting, thermostats, and other connected systems. If you prefer the old-school controls, the plate also features 12 programmable hard buttons. If buttons don’t work in your streamlined design plans, you can also opt for a button-free faceplate.
The TPMC-9L is available now, and can easily mount flush into walls, lecterns, podiums or even an equipment rack.
