Crestron is making its 200 disc Blu-ray changer available in June.
But before you rush out to buy one, you should know the ADC-200BR is not a stand alone product. It’s one component of the Adagio Digital Media System (ADMS) family. The ADMS also integrates with Crestron’s whole-house entertainment and control platform.
Although there’s no photo on Crestron’s web site, we caught a glimpse of the ADC-200BR at CEDIA in September.
The Adagio Digital Media System may just be the most full-featured media server around (or it will be when it ships).
At the core of its coolness is a feature called WorldSearch, which enables users to find content from virtually any source on the planet (hence the name) – from a connected Blu-ray disc changer, networked PC or NAS, on-board media, or any number of Internet sites whether fee-based or free.
For those with an extensive movie collection, you can link 5 of the Blu-ray changers via Firewire and store 1,000 discs.
