Looking for an extra security blanket in your home control purchase? Control4 has announced that it is doubling the length of its standard warranty across its entire product line from 12 to 24 months.

The Salt Lake City, UT-based whole-home automation manufacturer cites advanced product testing methods, quality initiatives and new product designs as reasons Control4 has decided to extend the 24-month warranty against defects to its partners and their customers.

All current shipping products will carry the new 24-month warranty as a standard, the company says, effective immediately. In addition all products shipped after Jan. 1, 2007, will be upgraded to the new 24-month warranty.
