Control4’s 7-inch Table Top Touch Screen

Control4 has found a happy medium to bring to its family of touch screen interfaces and automation systems.

The Utah-based company has added a 7-inch Table Top Touch Screen that features a 16x9 format screen, to fit in nicely with the current offerings.

The new screen complements Control4’s 10.5-inch Portable and Wall-Mount Touch Screens, 7-inch Portable and POE (Power-Over-Ethernet) Wall-Mount Touch Screen and the Mini Touch Screen—the company says the new one has three times the display area as the mini, and gives you more flexibility because of its size, placement and functionality.

You can tap the screen to select tunes from your distributed audio system or video using cover art, or adjust control systems like lighting scenes, climate and such. If you’ve got a Rhapsody subscription, you can also access that music effortlessly right from the touchpad.

The 7-inch Table Top Touch Screen works over Ethernet or Wi-Fi, and uses the latest Control4 version 1.7.1 software. There are also four programmable buttons for quick one-touch access to favorite or most used settings. MSRP is $1,299, and it’s expected to ship this month.
