Nice toy if you happen to have won the lottery.
steveo: I got that info from Meridian. However, I have taken it out of the text. Thanks for the catch.
It is just a JVC DLA-M4000u with another name tag on it. That JVC is discontinued! I gues Meridan baught the assembly line and is building these so they can make some money!
In fact,Meridian can claim 30 mega pixels. I believe they have three D-ILA image devices for R,G,B respectively.
It’s expensive, but it’s quiet, sharp, and the scaler really fills in where the source is missing. A very compelling combination - and a great use of this technology. If you have the money . . . you owe it to yourself to consider it!
Have a look at this review:

Thank you, Bob Stuart and Meridian for getting it . . . RIGHT!
Cheers -

This JVC projector offers more onscreen pixels than most, and a THX mode.
DPI, Sunfire and SnapAV deliver high performance at a reasonable price.
Sayonara, set-top box? Or will it just take an energy-saving nap?
It’s hard to imagine life without remote controls, but it’s been a long, strange path to the modern incarnation we know and love today.
How do you figure 1080i is one megapixel and 1080p is two?
At least 1080i is TWO one megapixel frames - and in essense EQUALs a two megapixel picture.
