If the terms and conditions says only one show for $10/month then I won’t pay for it. But if it’s unlimited shows for $10/month then Yes I will happily pay that amount.

Same as the poster above me. There are still a few shows that I want to preview that are not yet on Hulu (Breaking Bad, Dexter to name a couple). I would never pay the high subscription costs of cable/satellite only to watch a couple shows. So if this is $10/month for unlimited streaming, I’m sold.

I’ll get a new laptop w/ HDMI Out and never look to cable/satellite again.

Why would Hulu charge when there are commercials already.  That is just being greedy…...

There’s no way to give a definitive answer at this point.  It’s conceivable that they could provide the features that would make a $10/month fee worth it.  But easily not.

If they scale back the current free service in favor of their pay service, they’ll suffer the same fate of hundreds of websites before them: death.

I voted no, but that is simply because I already pay for cable service..but refuse to rent a dvr and simply use Hulu to catch up on some of the shows that I miss without one. If I were willing to pay $10 extra a month I would simply get a dvr and say goodbye to Hulu forever…I don’t have an HTPC so I end up watching Hulu content on a 20” desktop lcd….I’m definitely not paying $10 a month for that.

The $10 Hulu subscription would be good for a person who fits this criteria:
1. No cable service (over the air only)
2. Has an HTPC hooked up to the tv
3. Said tv is still a 480i/480p model (Hulu’s current max res)
Of course the small number of people who fit the bill won’t pay the bills for Hulu. I’ve noticed that the commercial breaks are getting more frequent and longer with some Hulu programming….why wouldn’t this alone pay the bills for what is essentially re-runs of shows that have already aired? (with the normal number of commercial ads)

I actually meant to say I voted “yes” in the post below…and that is regardless of the programming available, unless they throw in some pay channel content (HBO, Showtime, Cinemax originals) and give the option for at least 720p streams..
