I think that the worst experience is ABC’s approach where you have to “click to continue” after each commercial.  It might be good exercise, but it’s annoying to get up fromt eh ouch, walk over to the computer (next to the tv) and click the mouse.

Point well taken Jerrado, however, the show will continue after a period of time, the “Click to Continue” allows you to bail out of the ad after 15 seconds in most cases instead of 30.

I know it appears before the commercial is over, but if you don’t click it the screen stays black.  Maybe it’s my browser (firefox)?  There are others who have noticed this…

Interesting, I didn’t experience that issue. That’s certainly not an ideal situation in your setup. One thing I did notice is that if you wanted to watch the HD feed you needed to have the resolution they recommended (it was like 1300x780 or something) to be able to get to those buttons.

“A 2GB Internet connection is required”

do you mean 2 mbit?

Scape,

Good catch, it is supposed to be 2Mbs for the ABC HD feed.

I can not get the ABC player to work.  It will play the commercial just fine but never goes into the program.  I have used CBS and NBC just fine on my computer.  Any suggestions?

I’m having the exact issue as Craig..ABC & FOX not working, CBS & NBC yes.  Was the problem resoved?  Please let me know!

I don’t really have a solution, but both Fox and ABC use the Move Networks player so I’d say your troubleshooting should start with the Move Networks player. You can access a calibration of that player by going here:

Changing resolutions didn’t do anything and sending me to the move networks page didn’t either as the video and audio worked there the first time.  Is there any other suggestions?  It shouldn’t be this hard to watch their shows!!  I think that Move Networks is pretty poor quality and service.  I can’t get any help from the ABC website or anyway to contact them directly.  All I get is an automated response with FAQ and to do all the things that I have done.

Though I just purchased my labtop 3 months ago, I was able to watch abc and fox with it till about 2 or 3 week ago.  That’s when I started having trouble.

I am having issues with a particular add-on file: qsp2ie071101000055.dll. It stops program very early in and causes Internet Explorer to shut down. I have deleted and re-installed the Move Player several times with the same results. Want to watch shows… Need help to resolve…

I am having the exact same problem as Dave (12/29). I emailed Move Network and they said to disable the anti-virus. I had already tried that. I first was able to watch 24 until about 10 minutes from the end. Now, it shuts down IE7 within minutes. Any suggestions?

click-to-continue no more! if you go to settings, there is an option to go to “auto-continue” between commercial ads.

The player does not work. I have been messing with it for 2 days now & it doesn’t work. ABC must not care that it doesn’t work. They changed something. It doesn’t matter what browser you use either. I have tried them all. Good luck. i give up.

I am experiencing the same problems with abc full episode player. When will they fix this?

Posted by Jen  on  03/03  at  11:42 PM

I’m having the same problem as many of the previous posters.  I cannot view ABC’s shows online!  I used to watch my shows all the time but within the last month, something has changed and all I get is a black screen.  It is so frustrating!
