Some people like coffee with cream and sugar. Some like it black. At Electronic House, we like our coffee with a pinch of technology. If you like your gadgets as much as your caffeine, get ready to meet the TopBrewer.
The TopBrewer is a coffee machine that can be built right into your countertop. It has a stainless steel tap that can grind up beans and dispense coffee at a moment’s notice. There are no filters, no scoops and no pods. It just brews up the perfect cup whenever you want it, all from fresh coffee beans.
However, having your own in-house barista isn’t the real hook here—at least not from the Electronic House standpoint. It’s that the TopBrewer can be tied into an app for iOS and Android devices, so you can call up your favorite beverage from bed, the driveway, or wherever else you’d want to get it going. If you don’t want or need mobile access, a touch-capable keyboard can be built into the tabletop right next to the tap.
If you aren’t in the mood for coffee, the TopBrewer can also rustle up some hot and cold water, juice, milk, or a hot espresso. It has a patented milk foamer right at the tip of the tap for hot milk on-demand and foamed to the correct texture.
Parent company Scanomat says that the TopBrewer also includes the “Scanomatic milk clean system,” which can flush every hose with water after each cup. Other features include dual grinders, a standby timer, app customization, and more.
The TopBrewer app is free, but the machine certainly isn’t. Expect this countertop beverage selection to cost about $11,000.
