Cingular is hoping that you will ditch your iPod, PC, stereo and any other method to play music. Maybe not, but they are probably hoping many will ditch their current cell provider for the option to have more music on their phones.

The service would allow subscribers to download music to their phones, as well as transfer CDs.
A formal announcement is expected to come on Thursday.
