The Chumby is a cute Linux-based bedside companion that spouts news, weather and other info using “widgets” you can download from the Chumby site and your home’s Wi-Fi access.
It even allows you to check email and your Netflix queue as you lie horizontal. If that’s not enough, it displays digital photos and can even crank out iPod collections and web radio—although probably not too loudly since it has two tiny built-in speakers.
They have certainly built a buzz around this thing. I am wondering if the sales will live up to years of hype. However, I am even more curious to see who would win in a fight of Chumby versus Clocky.
