Chief’s PB1 In-Wall Power Extension System

Hiding wire and cables can be the difference between a super-clean, professional-looking installation and one that looks a little thrown together.

Those power cables can be tough to hide sometimes, though, so Chief Manufacturing—which specializes in things like wall mounts for flat-panel TVs and projector mounts—is trying to simplify the concealment for you.

The company just released its PB1 In-Wall Power Extension System, which is a slick little power device that provides a remote connection to whatever outlet or power conditioner you’re using.

You get two combination wall plates for power and signal, allowing you route the TV’s power and signal cables through the wall behind the set and down to floor level.

Integrated cable ports can be used for low-voltage wiring inside the wall to keep things tidy.

The PB1 comes in four colors—black, white, almond and ivory—and will be shipping in April. Check with Chief on TBD pricing.

I don’t know what the price of this is, however I doubt it can beat the price of a similar product that I bought on monoprice.com.  Powerbridge solutions also has a similar product, but its really expensive.  This is nothing new, similiar items have been out for years.
