Who’s lurking out in the bushes? Instead of heading outdoors with a baseball bat, you can check out potential prowlers using a security camera. Of course, not all cameras are made to withstand the elements, so Channel Vision has just announced two new outdoor options.
The 6710 Outdoor PTZ Camera and the 6721 Outdoor PTZ Camera are Channel Vision’s latest speed dome PTZ cameras. Both have pan, tilt, and zoom functions, as well as wide area coverage. Also, Channel Vision says that both cameras can deliver detail with up to 560 lines of resolution.
Each model features a 300-degree per second panning speed and 120-degree per second tilt speed, so you can pinpoint an exact location and zoom in. The 6721 boasts a 27x optical zoom, with the 6710 getting a 12x optical zoom. Both models also have a 10x digital zoom.
Other features include an IP 66-rated enclosure on each and built-in OSD (On Screen Display) programming with PTZ control for up to 128 preset locations tours, auto-flip, and proportional pan-speed. Both also come standard with a fan and heater to help it get through more extreme temperature conditions
Channel Vision says that both can be controlled via the Channel Vision 3G Series Surveillance DVR or from any device that supports Pelco D or Pelco P protocol.
Both the 6710 Outdoor PTZ Camera and the 6721 Outdoor PTZ camera are available exclusively through Channel Vision’s distribution network of custom retailers, distributors, dealers and installers. Find out more about the products and where to buy on Channel Vision’s website.
