Centronics’ HD Flex HDMI cable
December 24, 2008 by Arlen Schweiger

Hate it when your cables get bunched up and don’t leave you much room behind your TV or electronics?

Centronics is trying to stem the tide a little with an HDMI cable that drops down at a right angle if you want, or stays straight if needed. Yup, it’s flexible, and hence the “HD Flex” name for this Centronics HDMI product.

These aren’t any flimsy HDMI cable, either. Among their attributes:

  • Version 1.3b and HDCP compliant for full HD 1080p
  • UL listed, single-link bandwidth of 340 MHz (10.2 GBps)
  • Built-in flexible head pivots 90 degrees on each side
  • Gold-plated connectors for decreased contact resistance

Whether you do the work yourself or have a professional take care of it, the flexibility is sure to be welcomed.

The pricing’s not too bad either for HDMI—6-foot cable for $39.95, 12-foot for $49.95 and 24-foot for $69.95. There’s even a 15 percent off sale going on now (not sure how long it’ll last) on all Centronics HDMI products.
