This year the stars are truly out for Major League Baseball’s ;a href=“http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/allstar07/index” title=“78th All-Star Game”>78th All-Star Game at AT&T Park in San Francisco, so be sure to catch them in high-definition.

Fox HD is the place for the game, with coverage beginning Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. Who won’t want to see the National League’s HOF (Hall of Fame) outfield in HD—including Barry Bonds, Ken Griffey Jr. and their combined 1,330-plus home runs?

One of my favorite parts actually takes place before the first pitch is even thrown. No, not the singing of the The Star-Spangled Banner, but the panning through the American League and National League rosters and the starters jogging onto the field. Now that’s star gazing!

For those who dig the long ball, ESPN HD features the Home Run Derby on Monday night at 8 p.m., when Philadelphia Phillies slugger Ryan Howard will try to defend his crown. There should be plenty of high-def splashes in McCovey Cove.
