Does anyone not have an app these days? Don’t look at CasaTunes. The company just announced the availability of the CasaTunes App for iPads and Android Tablets. Naturally, the new app adds both iPad and Android tablets into the mix of control options for the company’s music servers.
Both apps work with all CasaTunes XL Music Servers, as well as CasaTunes Music Servers for Channel Vision, NuVo and Russound. Combine one of those with an iPad or Android tablet, and you can enjoy one-touch access to specific rooms, sources and songs.
Also, because you are using the app on a tablet, you can flip to landscape mode for a list of songs in the queue alongside information of the current track being played. Other new features include a drag and drop room organizer, search across multiple music services, and the ability to choose selections by cover art.
The CasaTunes App for iPads and Android Tablets adds another way to control the company’s servers. Other methods include a browser-based interface and keypads, as well as iPhone and iPod touch and Android options.
“The addition of native Apps for the iPad and Android Tablet expands CasaTunes’ client strategy for support across browsers, iOS and Android platforms,” said David Krinker, CEO for CasaTunes. “Using popular handheld devices, users are free to move about their home changing the music as they go.”
The CasaTunes App for the iPad is available now for free, with the Android version expected next month. For more information, check out the app demo on the CasaTunes website.
