Canon to Produce Flat-Panel TVs
The camera maker is teaming up with Toshiba to make super-slim TVs -- but not until 2008.

The Washington Post says that Canon wants to get into the flat-panel TV game. Do we need another company crowding our already overloaded retail shelves?

You might want to take a peek, because Canon is actually working with Toshiba, who makes a pretty nice looking picture (see how pretty the 37HLV95 is above?).

Supposedly the two are working on a new super-thin TV that sucks up less energy than what’s currently on the market—no matter how many hours of “Judge Judy” you watch!

The two should start making them by the end of next year, with a full-scale production push in 2008.
