CSW’s i765 can be connected to a TV via composite or S-Video inputs.
Cambridge SoundWorks has made quite a name for themselves by teaming up with the iPod. The latest leap in the SoundWorks line is the i765, which adds in a CD/DVD player and radio functions.
The DVD stuff is nice, but is it me, or did they move the dock? Gotta mix things up, I guess.
The unit has composite and S-Video outputs, so you’ll obviously need a TV to use the DVD features. Add that expense to the $500 it will cost you for this tabletop solution. It’s sort of pricey, but the company has set precedent for some very nice sounding iPod accessories.

This JVC projector offers more onscreen pixels than most, and a THX mode.
DPI, Sunfire and SnapAV deliver high performance at a reasonable price.
Sayonara, set-top box? Or will it just take an energy-saving nap?
It’s hard to imagine life without remote controls, but it’s been a long, strange path to the modern incarnation we know and love today.
I just received my i765 radio… The sound is amazing, spacious, room filling and with amazing highs and lows. It worked well with my iPod Classic. I watched Die Hard 4 from it and was blown away by the sound in the wide mode. The explosions were powerful and impactful. The video output was clean even on a 52” HD TV. DVD’s played easily and I could easily switch between iPod and DVD Video with no problem. I was surprised when my wife’s iPhone even received calls while docked without a lot of GSM noise. It even worked well with my son’s older 60GB Video. It displays song title and artist on the LCD (iPod or FM RDS), I can see it all the way across the room. The radio reception is great. I enjoy listening to NPR and it is hit or miss in my home due to reception issues. This radio pulled in this station and it was crystal clear, I really enjoyed it. The remote is intuitive and easy to use…. To sum it up $499 seems expensive but it is worth every penny, I just wish it came in white. This blows away my Bose Sound Dock…. Anyone want to buy a used Sound Dock????
