It’s difficult to fathom B&W’s Zeppelin getting any cooler. However, the company has just confirmed that yes, they’ve made the product even more awesome, by incorporating Apple’s AirPlay technology.

The Zeppelin Air is a new and improved wireless audio system, which allows users to stream content directly from iTunes, as well as an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. This means you could have a simple, stylish multiroom audio system, using a computer and several Zeppelin Airs around the house.

Aside from the increased functionality, B&W says that they’ve also updated drive units, up-rated amplification, and added the latest in Digital Signal Processing. The new 2.1 design also has an improved output (4x25W + 1x50W), which promises room-filling sound. Other features include B&W’s own Flowport technology, Dynamic EQ, and upgraded DACs with 24bit-96KHz capability. 

AirPlay is compatible with iTunes 10.1 or later, and the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.2 or later.

Expect the Zeppelin Air to start selling in March, with an MSRP of $599.99.
