The Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air is a work of art. How could the company possibly go wrong with a compatible app?
B&W just announced the Zeppelin Air App, a free download that allows users to stream multiple iTunes accounts to any AirPlay-enabled music player—including B&W’s Zeppelin Air speaker dock (of course).
It also promises a social component, which is that those multiple accounts can be from multiple users! Planning a big bash this Labor Day? Download the free app, and invite partygoers to do the same. That will allow you to compile one massive party playlist, using all of the connecting iTunes accounts. From there, you can stream those tunes to that AirPlay device.
“There are many fantastic mobile apps that allow you to stream music, but the Zeppelin Air App is the first of its kind that enables users to share music and create collaborative playlists with friends, mobile device to mobile device,” said Paul McCarthy, of app developer Aurnhammer. “Bowers & Wilkins has essentially created a wireless, virtual jukebox.”
No computer is needed to use the Zeppelin Air App; just a Wi-Fi network. You’ll also need AirPlay, which requires iTunes10.1 or later, as well as an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.2 or later.
