B&W’s ASW 610XP features a 10-inch driver and a 500-watt amplifier.
If you’re looking for B&W’s inexpensive offerings, the ASW 610XP can add some boom to your budget.
Granted, $1,200 isn’t exactly cheap, but in the land of high-end audio, it’s practically a freebie. As part of the company’s 600 Series, the ASW 610XP packs one 10-inch paper/Kevlar driver and a 500-watt amplifier to do all of the dirty, deep-sounding work.
The end result is a flat response to 25 Hz (-3 dB) with bass extension to 18 Hz (-6 dB). Additional controls include line-in level, low-pass frequency with bypass, bass rolloff alignment, and phase, plus auto-on/off/standby. Other features include B&W’s three-position EQ switching, line-level and speaker-level inputs, and a 12-volt on/off trigger.
Measuring in at 13 x 13 x 15 inches, the ASW 610XP comes in black ash, cherry or Wenge finishes. Grab one now for $1,200.

I have not heard the new “chinese” 600 series. I can tell you my main concern here is weight of these new speakers my asw600 weighs in at around 49 pounds and this thing is only 34 pounds. Plus this sub would really be a match for the asw675 , both have 500watt rms amps and 10in woofers, that weighs 56 pounds. Are these new 600 series cheap?
