Forget about the swallows coming back to Capistrano. Worry about booking your own ticket to Dana Point, California, to get a peek at this oceanfront paradise.
Sitting right on the sand in Capistrano Beach’s Beach Road community, this home is actually up for grabs, via an online auction. According to The Orange County Register, the same property was up for sale for $10.5 million about a year ago. At last peek, the price was up to $4,050,000—although the reserve had not been met yet.
The purchase price includes two lots, for a total of 10,599 square feet. The 4,032 of actual living space includes four bedrooms, five bathrooms, four indoor fireplaces, two outdoor fireplaces, a stretch of private sand, a wine cellar, and of course, a main floor home theater. That theater isn’t a dedicated room, but looks pretty lush nonetheless, thanks to a recent $1.5 million whole-house renovation.
While the room’s equipment remains a mystery, we do know that the room is pre-wired for surround sound. The image below shows in-ceiling speakers, in addition to an in-ceiling projection screen. Of course, the technology isn’t limited to this one area of the home. A variety of flat screens are mounted throughout the house. It’s also pre-wired for home security.
For a slideshow tour of the rooms and surrounding property, check out the Concierge Auctions website. The online auction will end on Friday, October 7, 4:00 p.m. (EST) Interested parties will need to register to follow auction results, as well as place a bid.
