Blu-ray is offering “The Last Waltz” as one of its free titles to choose from.
Thinking about purchasing a Blu-ray disc player? If you were considering it for the holiday shopping season, you might want to bump it up a few months.
Starting July 1, Blu-ray will feature a promotion running through the end of September by which consumers will get five free Blu-ray movies out of a choice of 21 titles, with the purchase of any Blu-ray player, including the Sony PlayStation 3. HD DVD ran a similar promotion through Toshiba earlier this year.
The titles include Oscar-nominated “Babel,” acclaimed concert film “The Last Waltz,” “Blazing Saddles,” “Corpse Bride,” “The Italian Job,” “Pearl Harbor,” and “Chicken Little,” to name a few.
The web site www.bluraysavings.com for the promotion is expected to launch this weekend in conjunction with the offer.
