The word-assocation game with “Brando” probably brings to mind “versatile, award-winning actor”—and that versatility seems to ring true for the manufacturer of the same name.

The company has unleashed its little power-packed SATA HDD Dock Station Combo Stereo Speaker + Hub, which essentially is a nifty little desktop hard-drive and USB music player.

For $59, you get a dock for your 2.5- or 3.5-inch SATA hard drive and its gigs of storage, plus a two-port USB 2.0 hub on the front.

There’s a built-in USB audio soundcard so you can take advantage of the built-in 3W stereo speaker sound, and volume and mute control, to give your computer audio system a boost or provide you with a tidy way to access and play massive quantities of music.

The unit also comes with a USB cable, and on the back you’ll find microphone in/speaker out ports so you can plug in a headset and yammer away on VoIP services.

You’ll have to provide your own hard drive, but overall this looks like a solid home office or secondary room investment for the 59 clams.
