Bose is continuing to make beautiful music options for your tabletop. Now, the company wants to make them slightly more beautiful — or at least colorful.
The company just announced the SoundLink Bluetooth speaker III, the latest in the SoundLink lineup. The new speaker promises a new design and a longer battery life than previous SoundLink speakers. It also offers interchangeable covers so you can change the color of your speaker to match your mood or your room. The covers come in gray, blue, green, orange and pink.
Of course, the SoundLink III also has Bluetooth inside, so you can stream music right to the speaker from any smartphone, tablet or other Bluetooth-enabled device. It can even save the six most recently used Bluetooth devices for later use.
Other features include “Bose proprietary technologies,” four neodymium transducers and dual-opposing passive radiators with a new digital signal processing algorithm. It also has a silicone button panel, a wraparound metal grille, and the promise of up to 14 hours of playtime.
Weighing in at just 3 pounds, the SoundLink III is designed for at home or on-the-go use. Bose is selling the SoundLink Bluetooth speaker III now, with an MSRP of $299.95. The accessory covers are also available separately for $34.95 each.
