If you’ve been holding out for a vacuum tube amp, Blue Aura has a little something—and you don’t even have to call in an installer. The company just introduced the v30 Blackline, a 2 x 20W hybrid vacuum tube amplifier that’s wireless-ready. The product is available now, via the Blue Aura website.
The v30 packs in valve technology, which promises to boost sound that’s been lost through the digital conversion process. Other features include a frequency response of 20Hz–20kHz +/- 1.5dB, an analog stereo input, a headphone jack, and inputs for RCA, USB mini B, and 3.5mm mini components.
Blue Aura says that the unit comes packing two speakers, a remote and cabling. If you don’t want more cables into the mix, you can add the WSTxR Wireless Transmitter and Receiver Kit (MSRP: $149) to send audio signals right to the device without wires.
Described as “retro-elegant,” the v30 also has large chrome knobs on the front, a two-tiered rack with chrome handles, a glowing green bar, and a glitzy chrome finish.
Blue Aura sells directly to the consumer. The v30 and the WSTxR are both available now, via the company’s website.
