Blu-ray Picks for the Week of November 20, 2012
Every action star imaginable, a famous flop and tons of Tarantino; get a peek at this week's new and notable releases.

This may be a short week work-wise, but it’s pretty big from a Blu-ray standpoint.

We have a lot to be thankful for, including the new Tarantino XX 8-Film Collection. This 10-disc box set snags our spotlight for the week because it includes eight films from Quentin Tarantino’s resume—which the director handpicked himself. However, this isn’t just a rehash of previous Blu-ray releases. Fans can expect two entire discs’ worth of new goodies.

If that’s not enough violence to fill your holiday weekend, we also have the latest installment of The Expendables and season two of HBO’s critically acclaimed Game of Thrones. There’s also a few less violent releases, although the jury is still out on the latest entry in Disney’s “Buddies” franchise.

Did we miss one of your favorites for the week? Have something to say about one of this week’s new releases? Sound off in the comments below. Otherwise, all of these titles are out now, except where noted. Enjoy!
