Blu-ray Picks for the Week of July 24, 2012
It’s a maiden voyage for the crew of the Enterprise-D, as well as the actor previously known as Frasier; get a peek at this week's new and notable releases.
July 24, 2012 by Rachel Cericola

This is a pretty boss week for TV on Blu-ray—and we’re not just talking about the release of Kelsey Grammer’s Boss.

Two stellar TV shows are getting a freshman Blu-ray this week (and one a new DVD release). However, the pick of the week is absolutely Star Trek: The Next Generation: Season One. CBS and Paramount spent a lot of time and money crafting this six-disc package—and it shows. Even if you aren’t a Trekkie, this is one to watch.

There are a few other notable releases this week, including one live concert, an indie with Chloë Sevigny and Kate Beckinsale, and a little something for the kids.

Did we miss one of your favorites for the week? Have something to say about one of this week’s new releases? Sound off in the comments below. Otherwise, all of these titles are out now, except where noted. Enjoy!
