Blockbuster is selling off its HD DVD stock for $8 each.
In case you’re still scrounging for HD DVDs to add to your collection… we’ve got a pretty good way to kick off your New Year.
Gizmodo says that Blockbuster is making way for more Blu-rays, and clearing its current HD DVD inventory. They have some pretty good ones up for grabs, including “Zodiac,” “A Christmas Story,” Fast Times at Ridgemont High,” “The Polar Express,” all of the “Bourne” movies, and much more (about 350 total).
Now we’ve got some not-as-great news. Sure, it’s pretty sweet to see so many HD DVDs available, but Blockbuster wants you to pay $8 for each one. It would be a lot better to find them for $3 a pop —especially since the titles have probably been to hell and back on the rental circuit.
Still, scarf ‘em up while you can. We’re guessing the offer is good while supplies last.
