“No Late Fees” didn’t exactly work out, so now Blockbuster really wants to stand behind its “More Movies, More Choice, More Value” and “Total Access” slogans.
The video chain has just announced plans to tweak pricing, as well as the company’s product offerings. New offerings will include book sales as well as kiosks for downloading entertainment onto portable devices, says the Hollywood Reporter.
Kiosks? Would you drive to download? You won’t have to drive around looking for the closest chain; the idea is to put the kiosks into airports, supermarkets and other public locations.
Other plans include a revamped website, which will include the company’s recent acquisition of download site Movielink.
Blockbuster just announced Movie Clique, a new venture that would allow users to rave, rant and rent movies titles via online networking site Facebook.
