Blazar Bluetooth Speaker Can Be Paired for Stereo Sound
The latest wireless audio option is seeking funding on Kickstarter.

Currently, there are a ton of Bluetooth speakers available. So why would you want to back the Blazar on Kickstarter? Because the Blazar isn’t your average wireless speaker.

The Blazar is an upcoming Blutooth speaker designed by Beacon Audio, out of Salt Lake City, Utah. It has wireless Bluetooth technology inside, which means that you can stream music directly to the speaker from your favorite iOS and Android portables, as well as any other Bluetooth-compatible devices.

However, it also has support for NFC (near field communication), a brand-new wireless technology that allows you to link one Blazar to another, for true left and right stereo sound. (Of course, it also works as a single speaker, if that’s what you want.)

Other features include a 12-hour battery life, a portable package, a built-in microphone, and a design that can deliver 360 degrees of sound.

In addition to the silver aluminum and deep graphite models, Beacon is collaborating with certain recording artists to make special editions of the Blazar available. That lineup includes AWOLNATION, Neon Trees and Halestorm, all of which have worked with Beacon to create a unique edition of the Blazar speaker.

Beacon Audio is making all of those Blazar options available via the aforementioned Kickstarter campaign. With 38 days left to go, Beacon has already raised over half of its $90,000 goal. Beacon has set the Blazar’s early-bird price at $99, with plans to ship the first production units sometime in September.
