GPS may get your where you want to go, but it can’t drown out those backseat drivers—until now. Blaupunkt‘s Travel Pilot MP3 Edition is part MP3 player, part GPS navigation system.

The unit is self-contained, so it can be used in the car or as a portable system for hiking and other outdoor activities. The package includes a Smart Cradle for integration with your car stereo, charging the unit’s six-hour LiON internal battery, and enabling additional capabilities such as GPS Dead-reckoning and turn-by-turn voice prompting through your car audio system.

Other features include a 3.5-inch TFT touchscreen monitor, 2GB of flash memory, and display info for the current speed limit, time and distance to a destination, destination targeting by address, street name, intersection, town, and zip code. It is also preprogrammed with thousands of points of interest (POI) such as hotels, gas stations, restaurants, and more.

  • $699
  • 3.5-inch TFT touchscreen
  • 2GB of flash memory
  • JPEG, MP3 and WMA support
