Biscotti is going for a bigger bite of the video conferencing market. The company just debuted Biscotti XS, the latest in the company’s line of HDTV-based video calling appliances.

The Biscotti XS is an entirely new piece of hardware, with software enhancements as well. It has dual-band WiFi with dual antennas and Multiple In/Multiple Out (MIMO) technology, as well as Ethernet connectivity. Some of the other highlights include a keyboard remote, a universal mount, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a Multiport Power Adapter with international power blades.

As an added bonus, the company also introduced MyBiscotti Cloud Services, which can manage and configure multiple Biscotti cameras, tap into multiple images from different cameras, and even record and share time-lapse videos. New and upcoming features also include video mail, multiparty calling and PSTN interoperability.

“Biscotti is reinventing the video calling experience,” said Dr. Matthew B. Shoemake, CEO and founder of Biscotti. “Video calling should be just as simple as voice calling. The Biscotti and MyBiscotti Cloud Services we are demonstrating at CES provide our customers with a convenient and comfortable video calling experience, allowing our customers to make and receive video calls as easily as picking up the phone or sending a text.”

The Biscotti XS will start selling in March 2013, with an MSRP of $299.
