It’s one thing to supply graphics cards and power supply products. It’s another ballgame to deliver a full-throttle gaming/multimedia performance PC.

But that’s where BFG Technologies is going with its new Phobos HTPC, which it will showcase at this week’s CES 2009. You can get an idea of where some of Phobos’ power comes from—BFG is exhibiting it right in the Nvidia booth at CES.

BFG is a supplier of 3D graphics cards, and included in the Phobos will be Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 295 Graphics Cards (x2 for Quad SLI), as well as GeForce GTX 285 for Dedicated PhysX Processing. Those’ll be standard in the Phobos Elite configuration, which you’ll have to drop a pretty penny for—starting at $8,000.

The company will have two other versions of Phobos, the Performance configuration from $3,000, and the Advanced model from $5,000.

Part of the Phobos experience is also BFG’s 8-inch LCD touchpanel for even greater convenience. The company also provides in-home setup with every purchase, plus a follow-up maintenance visit six months later. If you’re a diehard gamer or Blu-ray fan, we’re guessing you’ll have put in plenty of miles on this machine by then.
