Projectors that can do 3D are becoming as common as, well… projectors that can do 2D. BenQ is hoping to make its W7000 a real standout by including a little something extra.

According to the company, the W7000 is the “world’s first” projector to get TÜV Rheinland 3D Full-HD Certification. Whether or not that holds stock with you is a different story.

If that doesn’t work, the W7000 has a bevy of other impressive features. Powered by DLP Link, the W7000 can deliver full 1080p HD in both 2D and 3D. Other features include a 50,000:1 high contrast ratio, 2,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, BrilliantColor and VIDI technologies, and two HDMI 1.4a inputs.

Designed for everything from 3D movies to sports to video games, the W7000 also has three preset modes for 2D and 3D, Panamorph lenses, and ISFccc certification. Another bonus is that the W7000 does not require an external emitter. However, if you want to do the 3D, you’re going to need to buy compatible 3D glasses.

BenQ is selling the W7000 now for $2,499.
