We’ve seen a lot of wireless speakers and wireless music systems. However, there’s something truly unique about Beep.
You’re probably saying to yourself, “What the beep is Beep?” Well, it’s a little device that can change the way you listen to music.
No, it really can. The hook is that it’s not going to change it too much, though. That’s because Beep will work with all of your existing speakers: towers, tabletops, bookshelves, and whatever else you want to get into the musical mix.
The Beep device can attach to any speaker with a 3.5mm connector, an RCA jack or an optical input. Once all of the speakers are connected, download the mobile app. That app will help to connect everything to your Wi-Fi network. Beep works in conjunction with iOS and Android devices and allows you to stream to speakers in one room or all over the house.
It’s important to note that each speaker will need its own Beep. However, the Beep doesn’t just make wireless music. The dial has functionality! Touch the Beep to start music streaming through the house, turn it for volume, or tap it to pause so you can pick things up where you left off later on.
Other Beep features include a built-in 24-bit DAC, Pandora integration (other services should be coming soon), and the option to connect five or more Beeps simultaneously. (According to Beep, the exact number will depend on your Wi-Fi setup.)
Available in copper and gunmetal, Beep currently has a pre-order price of $99. Once the product ships this fall, that price will be bumped up to $149 each.
