You just made $3.2 billion on your company; what’s the first thing you do? If you’re Dr. Dre, you release a pair of earbuds. However, the new Beats Powerbeats2 Wireless isn’t just any pair of headphones; they are the company’s first wireless headphones.
According to Beats, Powerbeats2 Wireless Bluetooth headphones were inspired by LeBron James and specifically designed for athletes. However, you don’t have to be in shape to appreciate a pair of headphones that are lightweight, durable, and resistant to sweat. Also, because this product is wireless, you won’t have to worry about cords getting tangled up or in your face.
Via Bluetooth you can pair this set with smartphones, tablets and other compatible music products, all without wires and up to 30 feet from your device of choice. It does have a tangle-free wrap-around, which includes RemoteTalk control for changing volume, switching tracks, and making hands-free calls.
Other features include redesigned earhooks for a better fit and a rechargeable battery that promises up to 6 hours of playback.
Beats Powerbeats2 Wireless earphones ship with a hard shell case and a $199.95 MSRP. Available in black, red and white, Powerbeats2 Wireless earphones will be available on the Beats website and via select retailers sometime this month, with other outlets getting them in July.
