Bathomatic Tub Has Surround Sound and Champagne Slot
The high-tech tub features a whirlpool, a TV, and 5.1 surround sound.

Step inside the Bathomatic tent at CEDIA Expo 2013 and you’ll be begging for a bath. Bathomatic, which makes shower- and tub-automation systems, is showing a prototype of the most high-tech tub ever: the Bathler.

Via a console on the tub, users can control the television and its motorized lift, surround sound (the invisible speakers are in the tub), RGB lighting, and a motorized cavity for a bottle of bubbly. Of course, water flow and temperature can be controlled as well.

Water fills from holes in the bottom of the tub, so there is no unsightly hardware— just one cool slab of Corian.

Fredy Vasilev, managing director for Unique Automation, which markets Bathomatic, says the company surrounded its demo to ensure guests indulged all of their senses.
