Bang & Olufsen has been on fire lately, with the BeoPlay A3 being the latest release to ogle.
The BeoPlay A3 isn’t just nice to look at. It’s a sound system, specifically designed to work with the iPad. Use it to bump up your Netflix experience, for gaming, or just to rock out while playing a round of Words with Friends.
B&O says that the device has something called Adaptive Stereo Orientation, which means that the A3’s four speakers can instantly adjust for portrait or landscape viewing.
Born out of the mind of Danish designer Steffen Schmelling, the BeoPlay A3 looks kind of cool and won’t fatten up your backpack with its mere 2.75-pound weight.
Other BeoPlay A3 features include three 0.5-inch tweeters, one 2-inch woofer, and a frequency response of 60Hz to 15kHz.
Although B&O says that the BeoPlay A3 boasts five hours of playback on a full charge, there’s no word on when you’ll be able to test that claim out for yourself. Start saving now, though; when the BeoPlay A3 does start selling, it should cost about $730.
