Ball Speaker Shares Music With Color
The tiny portable speaker uses USB power for two hours of playtime.
January 28, 2009 | by Rachel Cericola

Who doesn’t love sharing their horrible taste in music with others? For just such an occasion, we have the Music Balloon.

Obviously, the Music Balloon is named after its appearance. I could see my kid clamoring for this thing like the Elmo balloon that now lives in my back closet. My dog might like it too. Serves me right for thinking that anyone might want to share my musical whims—especially on a thing that looks like a lollipop.

Charge the portable speaker via a USB port, and it plays with any audio source that has a 3.55mm jack. GeekAlerts says that charge should get you about two hours of playtime. Five colors are available.

It may seem like a nifty little gadget gift, but not at the $76 (!) asking price.

Editor’s Note: At last peek, the Geek Stuff 4 U website had been slammed by a DoS attack. It should be back in order fairly soon!
