Tired of looking at the same old pictures in their frames around your house? Step into the digital age and have access to up to 2 gigs’ worth of pictures—in one frame.

Axion began shipping its AXN-9701 7-inch widescreen LCD digital picture frame to channel distribution and retailers nationwide this week. The new frame has 480 x 234 pixels resolution and brightness control for optimal viewing in any lighting condition, the company says.

The internal memory on the AXN-9701 can store up to 15 images for viewing without a memory card. The frame can display up to 2 gigabytes of photos from the memory card from your digital camera and supports flash drives with direct a USB connection, Axion says.

The auto-sort feature offers an automatic thumbnail view of all the images in your memory card from all folders. A credit-card style remote allows you to control a slide show, single image viewing and other features from up to 25 feet away.

Among other features of the AXN-9701 are its ability to play MP3s, and support of SD, CF, MMC, xD and Sony Memory Stick media. MSRP is $89.99.
