AudioSource Unleashes In-Wall Subs, Sub Amp
Both 8- and 10-inch subwoofers are now available, as well as the AMPSUB210 to accompany it.

If these walls are a-rockin’, it could mean that they have AudioSource subwoofers on the inside.

AudioSource, a division of Rodin, just announced that they are shipping the AS Series of in-wall subwoofers, as well as the AMPSUB210 subwoofer amp. Instead of having a monster sub take up floor space, you can choose between an 8- or 10-inch sub to stuff inside the wall.

The 8-inch AS8SW ($150) can handle a maximum of 100 watts of power, has a frequency response of 40Hz to 300Hz (+/-3), and a sensitivity rating of 87dB. The 10-inch AS10SW ($200) can take on 150 watts max, has a frequency response of 33Hz to 300Hz (+/-3), and a sensitivity rating of 88dB.

The AMPSUB210 subwoofer amplifier provides 200 watts of power at 8 ohms, or 300 at 4 ohms. The AMPSUB210 costs $700.

“Our in-wall sub systems, complete with two available in-wall models to choose from, allow contractors and consumers alike an option to get their audio components up off the floor when floor space is at a premium and floorstanding or bookshelf subs are not an option, or when the common ugly black box subwoofer is not the first aesthetic choice for a room,” says Stewart Millager, AudioSource’s director of engineering.
