AudioControl is cranking out four new amps for its Architect line. The new models are designed for whole-house use, but can squeeze 12 or 16 channels of sound into just three space-efficient rack spaces.
The new 16-channel models are the Architect 1680 EQ amp (pictured below) and the Architect 1660. The 12-channel amps are the Architect 1280 EQ and the Architect 1260. And in case you couldn’t tell by the product names, both the Architect 1680 EQ and the Architect 1280 EQ include speaker equalization; the other two do not.
All of the new models have at least 65 watts per channel into 8 Ohms, as well as the option to add Ethernet control for remote monitoring and network control. Those EQ models also combine the zone equalization, bussable inputs and LightDrive anti-clipping circuitry into one compact chassis.
“Our team has a relentless enthusiasm for perfect sound performance and have lived these values for nearly four decades,” says Alex Camara, CEO of AudioControl. “The introduction of our new high-power Architect amplifiers is another example of the passion we have to ‘make good sound great’ in all our products, every day.”
