Those of you still wondering what the stink is about THX had better cover your ears. Atlantic‘s new line of THX Select2 speakers are coming and will surely be tested at some obscene volume levels.

THX Select2 is the new, fancier version of THX Select—it’s like a sequel that’s actually better. Atlantic has packed that technology into the closed-box IWCB-727, which means it sounds like a floor-standing speaker without hogging up your floor space.

The IWCB-727 is a 2.5-inch design with two 6.5-inch carbon fiber woofers and a 1-inch Low Resonance Tweeter. Other features include Atlantic’s own Directional Vector Control and a trio of acoustic controls to make installation a lot smoother.

Expect the IWCB-27 to be available in the second quarter of 2008 for $1,000 each.
