Artison’s Masterpiece In-Wall LCR
August 26, 2008 by Arlen Schweiger

Coming from a company with a name like Artison, you’d expect loudspeakers to be well crafted and probably look good too. Model names such as Masterpiece, Portrait and Sketch speak further to Artison’s designer mindset.

The company has had those models as attachable LCR speakers to complement the look of a flat-panel TV, and now is releasing them in in-wall versions to enhance the aesthetic of your media room.

Artison’s in-wall speakers will also include the company’s DualMono Center Channel technology that helps take up even less space in your room and create a nice, clean look. The technology integrates the center channels into the upper portion of the right and left speaker housing—your dialogue still sounds like it’s coming from the center of the image, but you don’t need a separate speaker in your setup.

For the specs, the Masterpiece In-Wall LCR is 31 x 6.8 x 3.75 inches, with 5.25-inch Kevlar long throw midrange drivers and forward-firing adjustable Super Audio tweeters. MSRP is $2,800 per pair.

The Portrait In-Wall LCR is 27 x 6.8 x 3.75, with 4.5-inch Kevlar long throw midranges and two 25-mm Super Audio Tweeters. MSRP on those is $2,000 per pair.

The Sketch In-Wall LCR is the same size as the Portrait, incorporating two Polypropylene 4.5-inch woofers and 1-inch Silk Dome tweeters, with an MSRP of $1,350 per pair. Whichever version, your media room wall will enjoy the artistic touch-up.
