Artcoustic’s Spitfire Monitor
SlideshowPlucky, persistent, go-getter, usually smallish—those are some words that might describe someone who’s a bit of a spitfire. Danish-based speaker manufacturer Artcoustic is applying that pluckiness to its latest offering, the Spitfire Sound System. The system consists of two main components less than 6 inches deep, the Spitfire Professional Monitor and Spitfire Professional Subwoofer.
The full-range Spitfire Professional Monitor combines power with a thin design and durable finish that the company says is ideal for on-wall use behind an acoustically transparent projection screen in a high performance home theater. The complementary Spitfire Professional Subwoofer and matching rack-mount amplifier is available for deep bass reproduction.
The Spitfire Monitor ($3,600/pair MSRP) and Spitfire Subwoofer system ($4,140/ea. MSRP) are available to order from StJohn Group, the company’s North American distributor.
