As if the U2 iPod wasn’t cool enough, now you can actually own a portable player designed by frontman Bono. Apple has announced that he and Bobby Shriver have created the iPod nano (PRODUCT) RED Special Edition.

A portion of the profits from the new nano will go to the Global Fund, which provides programs for women and children affected by AIDS in Africa. Now you can actually blame your electronics addiction on your need to give back to the world.

This nano boasts 24 hours of battery life and comes in a red aluminum enclosure.

If you’re in an extra giving mood, you can also purchase a (RED) iTunes gift card in increments of $25.—Rachel Cericola
